Pretty much it's the Party part of HPC. And you're partying best when you're in the fake life. It breaks down like this: Graves 601 Hotel, hot chicks drinking champagne, porno playing (you can see the reflection), and the entire mini bar already consumed or sitting on my chest. And we had room service. And to cap it off, it was indeed the Fake Life, in that $20 cheeseburgers taste even better when they're absolutely free, and when all the mini-bottles go home with you.
I suppose I see your point. The fake life is somewhat nice, if not extremely counter-productive. I think that any time mood altering substances are used there is fake life happening. But who knows, mayber we're all faking it all the time. Or maybe there is no such thing as "fake" or no such thing as "real" and we're all just projecting ideas of what human life means onto ourselves and others that have nothing what so ever to do with what being alive actually means. Wow, I really really really need a vacation.

plus...I don't think I would enjoy a cheeseburger no matter how much it cost but free booze I can appreciate.
