The debt clock, which was erected less than 20 years ago, when our country had less than $3tn in debt, now has to have 2 digits added next year, because we have over $10tn in debt. In fewer than 20 years our national debt has increased by almost $7 trillion (with a T) dollars. Damn.

I failed to point out that number reads as:
Ten Trillion, One Hundred Forty Nine Billion, Six Hundred Forty Four Million, Nine Hundred Thirty Three Thousand, Eight Hundred and Seventy Two Dollars. I know you can all figure that out - but I just think it is more relevant when you see how long that is typed out.
